Welcome to Country Critique – The Quintessential Platform for Country Music!

Welcome to Country Critique! We are grateful that you have decided to come along on this journey with us as we explore country music together. We hope to be a platform that you can look to as a reliable source in the media for opinions on this genre that we all love. Additionally, we want this blog to be a conversational-style blog, where we feel like we are talking to you personally, rather than in other manners. In the following content below, we are going to tell you some of our reasons behind launching this website, as well as what kind of top-tier content that you can expect from us at Country Critique within the coming months. Let’s get to it!

Why We Are Launching This Website (Our Brand Story)

Whether it was being played on the radio or CMT music videos throughout the week, country music has played a vital part in our raising and has been a factor to who we are today. In the constantly growing landscape that is country music, both new and old fans of the genre are often seen struggling as they attempt to navigate the landscape within country music, as new trends, albums, and artists are constantly put at the forefront of the genre. The heart of the country music genre has always been its authenticity and storytelling, where consumers felt a connection to the culture that it was describing. However, with the growing popularity, this can sometimes feel stale and be drowned out by the commercial noise from outsiders of the genre. The outsiders within this commercial space tend to be too broad or too specialized to connect with the heart of the consumer. As a growing issue, listeners of the genre can feel disconnected and lost with the genre that they are actively seeking to be heavily involved in. With this problem, Country Critique joins the equation. Country Critique is the digital space for country music enthusiasts who are seeking to understand the country music genre on a deeper level with the content that is being produced on this digital platform. It was founded on a personal belief that country music should have authentic content and criticism surrounding it. Country Critique was built on a passion for the genre and small-town values, as country music has been an everlasting staple in the southern United States and small-town lifestyle. Country Critique is rooted in country music tradition, but also a realization of its inevitable evolution. The top priority of Country Critique is to act as a trusted source for fans within the genre, and where the journey of consumers’ perceptions of the genre continues to evolve and grow, as well as to share experiences with one another.

Brand Promise

Here at Country Critique, our promise is to be your trusted country music media outlet in this evolving world of country music. We are devoted to deliver insightful, but also honest, entertaining content and reviews of music that celebrates the genre’s rich roots, while also setting ourselves at the forefront to be a leader in the genre’s evolution. In a genre where stories and voices matter, we want to connect you with the genre on a deep level, as the genre evolves into being more inclusive of their consumers’ listening habits. At Country Critique, we define ourselves using five characteristics: authentic, small-town rooted, insightful, progressive, and passionate. These five characteristics have defined us in our upbringing and will continue to define our brand as we navigate on this digital platform.

How to Stay Connected/Content to Expect

Now, let’s get to the ultimate reason that you are here: CONTENT. Mostly all the bold words in this section are hyperlinked. We are going to be writing blogs surrounding four main topics: Industry Past, Industry Present, Industry Future, and Reviews/RankingsOne of the most important factors to us in content creation is to diversify our content across different forms of media. We will be curating content specifically for our social platforms: Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter, as we will have subscriber-only content within it! Here’s the content schedule: two blogs per week on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11am CST, one email per week on Tuesdays at 11am CST, and daily social media content across our three social media platforms (around 5pm CST). Finally, we want YOU to be part of this process as well. So, fill out our music review requests and blog topic requests forms to have us write about topics that interest you all.

Let’s Conquer This Genre Together

Thank you again for trusting us enough to be your voice for the country music genre.
